"Attention all residents! It's time to give our neighborhoods a fresh start. We are excited to announce a city-wide residential cleanup event taking place on April 24th starting on the east side of town at 7:00 am and to finish on the west side of town April 28th 2023.

We invite all residents to participate in this initiative to clean up their homes, yards, and surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity to spruce up your own property and contribute to the overall beauty and cleanliness of our community.

This is a chance to get rid of unwanted clutter, yard waste, and other items that may have accumulated over time.

Let us all work together to make our city a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful place to live. Spread the word and encourage your friends and neighbors to join us in this effort.

We can't wait to see the positive impact we can make when we come together as a community. So mark your calendars and get ready to roll up your sleeves on the 24th of April."

If you are planning to participate, items that can be collected include: furniture, metal items, water heaters, electronic devices, and household appliances. However, please note that refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners need to have their compressors removed prior to collection.

Keep in mind that city employees won't be able to pick up general household trash, paint, oil, chemicals, tires, or construction debris. Thanks for helping us keep our city clean and safe!

If you have any questions about the Citywide Cleanup, please call City Hall at 347-4125.

As usual, brush and limbs no longer than 8ft can be set at the curb anytime of the year and the city employees will pick them up when time allows. Leaves need to be bagged properly in decomposable bags, no plastic.

Any brush and limbs put out during the Citywide Cleanup need to be separate from the other items. Please keep all items away from electric poles, natural gas meters, and water meters. Also, please ensure the brush does not extend into the street.

For any brush or limbs to be picked up during the year, please notify City Hall at 347-4125 to have your name added to the pickup list so that the City Workers are aware.
